Group Video Chat makes it easy for everyone in a group to join a live stream together. Once inside, members automatically appear in a shared video grid. Each participant has full control over their camera and microphone, can mute or turn the camera off, and can leave or rejoin at any time. The interface updates live to show who’s online, so the entire group stays in sync.

Each participant is displayed with a video tile and a small name chip in the roster bar above, along with a live online count. The system uses peer-to-peer WebRTC connections optimized by Group Chatly’s WebSocket infrastructure for low-latency communication. Only authenticated group members can enter, and the connection automatically handles joining and leaving events. When someone joins, they appear instantly; when they leave, their tile and roster entry disappear in real time — no refresh required.
